The Rainbow Six Olympus is waiting for us, so we are on the way to Tokoname, Japan, where R6 Pro League Global Final will be celebrated. The same quintet who ran off with the victory last week in the French Finals and reached the second place in the European League, will compete next Saturday in order to bring to Spain the world title.
The hour to start the dream? 12:00 (CET), when we are facing Aerowolf, the Asian-Pacific winners, in a single-elimination bracket.
Four regional leagues, eight selected teams and the most sought-after trophy in the world of Rainbow Six. All this next to an impressive prize pool: more than 600,000 dollars. That’s the challenge for our Giants at Aichy Sky Expo in Tokoname, where all the tickets are already sold out. Nevertheless, you can follow the broadcast of the event from the Rainbow Six Twitch channel.
To be able to pass to the second round, we must win the BO3 game against Aerowolf. Doing that we have the right to compete again the next Sunday, facing the winner of the game between DarkZero Esports vs. FaZe Clan; the penultimate step before the grand final. That is only a prediction, but the most of the experts bet for an european final!
David Alonso, Vodafone Giants Director of Esports, trusts in the chances of the team: “Despite we have been historically weak in LAN games, the team has proved recently a magnificent performance in on-site events. Everyone is showing a high strength and confidence in front of all the stadium, full to the brim. The final celebrated last week was the proof”.
In the words of Valentin «risze» Liradelfo, team captain, this performance is a fruit born from the confidence of Vodafone Giants in the team: “We count on all the support from the club. We’ve been able to prepare in a more efficient way the second half of the season, so we’ve trained freely, focusing in the most important thing, our play”.
The quintet, consisting by Valentin “risze” Liradelfo, Maurice “AceeZ” Erkelenz, Lukas “korey” Zwingmann, Théophile “Hicks” Dupont and Léo “Alphama” Robine, competed in the french league and the Rainbow Six Pro League european division when it joined to Vodafone Giants as part of the strategy to lead the shooter competitive scene.
Significant achievements of this team, supervised by Laurent “Crapelle” Patriarche, are Top 2 in Pro League EU Season 9, champions of the French League, Top 5-8 in Raleigh Major, finalists of Allied Esports in Las Vegas, winners of Dreamhack Austin and finalists in Dreamhack Valencia 2019.
